Part 2 

A growing Church

 

One of the things those who administer humanitarian aid discover, is that there are some issues that non of us as human beings can solve by ourselves. 

 

Bread is a wonderful present to a starving man. Fresh water is a precious treasure to a thirsty child. A thick old winter coat is like gold, to the old woman who shivers through Christmas, because her windows were blown away by shelling. 

 

However ... all these issues are temporary sticking-plaster fixes on life. What about the true, deep wounds, eternal needs, and questions of people. Does God care? Is God there? Does God understand suffering? What is the point of life? Will God judge or repay those who kill innocent people, and intentionally cause atrocious pain on thousands? Is Death the end? Can we have certainty about what happens after death ? Is it ever possible to forgive those who have destroyed your family, home and village?

One of the first men on the scene to administer aid was a friend of ours. In videos and photos you will often see him behind the truck, unloading potatoes, flour, giving out bread, showing love to the many friends he has made in the region. Sasha is one of their own. He has lived through all these things, yet throughout it he has not only maintained a joy to keep going, but has got up early each morning with a relative spring in his step. Why? He believes, that  every day is a gift, a new opportunity to speak of the one who is the foundation of all hope, the only one real answer to this situation... JESUS CHRIST. 

Introducing ALEXANDER RADIN "SASHA" (or "Pasha" - depending where you come from).

 

 As people have encountered the love of Jesus Christ through the ministry of this team, new and existing believers have joined together to take gospel hope to their villages and towns. Churches have been born. In this movement of new life, there are 5 churches in this network alone. From the dust, rubble and darkness of war, a new day is dawning. We have followed Sasha's story from very early on, and are thrilled at how God has worked so powerfully through him and the team. 

 

Our first encounter with Sasha started early one morning on the bread run. He jumped in the van having had no time for breakfast. Our first stop was to the local store for Sasha to buy (and completely consume) the biggest bag of Chicken crisps afforded to man. Despite the potent "wake up" smell in the van, we were soon very chuffed for every addative he consumed. Moments later his beady eyes popped out...we were in earshot of frontline activity and Sasha was the one standing inside the van watching out for danger. There were mines (either side of us), there were snipers, there were surprises... but Sashsa was looking out for his people and we are still here to tell the story. 

 

When tough times emerge, so do leaders. We are so thankful God has raised up our friend. A true man serves those sufferring (not run away from it), and here is such a man. Sasha follows Christ, shares Christ and shares in the sufferring of his people. We wholeheartedly support this ministry and ask that you prayerfully consider doing so with us. Part of our Christmas offerring will support this ministry, and if we are able to...we would love our support to grow as the churches grow - but we would need your help for that. Thank you in advance for anything you can do, however small.

• Thank God for the completion of the roof and church building restoration in Umanske.
• Pray for those who have recently come to faith in Tonenke and Umanske.
• Pray that God will provide for this ministry to keep moving forward to reach many more with the provision of forgiveness, hope. certainty and Joy in Jesus Christ.

ДЕНЬ 5: ПРОЕКТ ХЛЕБ И ЯЙЦА

 друзья,Во-первых ... Большое вам спасибо за безмерную поддержку вашего первого ответа на вчерашний день. Нам предстоит пройти долгий путь к восстановлению, но уже есть огромная поддержка и свидетельство того, что БОГ с нами. Он больше, чем вызов, и поэтому, когда мы играем свою маленькую роль, Он объединит все вместе и обеспечит хороший результат.

 НАДЕЖДА И ОБЕСПЕЧЕНИЕ
ЛУГАНСК И ДОНЕЦК

 Сегодня я хочу поделиться с вами захватывающим планом восстановления и продвижения в Донбассе. Наша цель состоит из трех частей, и по милости Бога дела уже идут и быстро развиваются на всех трех фронтах, но в этот критический момент нам действительно нужна помощь нашей британской сети.

 3 части ...

1) РАЗВИВАТЬ САМОУСТОЙЧИВЫЕ СПОСОБЫ финансирования восстановления и роста в долгосрочной перспективе.

2) TO SUPPORT KEY WORKERS in the initial phase of Church growth.

3) ДЛЯ ПРАКТИЧЕСКОЙ ПОДДЕРЖКИ восстановления церквей и центрального центра помощи и перемещенным лицам / детям / семьям.

Сегодня мы посмотрим на номер 1:  

ПРОЕКТНЫЙ ХЛЕБ И ЯЙЦА.

Хлеб жизни пекарня

Мы благодарим Бога за видение, которое он дал (в начале кризиса) команде пекарен. Среди мрачной нищеты войны и разрушения их простым желанием было накормить тех, кто остался без еды. Однако это видение имело более высокую цель - подпитывать детей и следующее поколение, помогать школам, семьям и пожилым людям в кризисной ситуации (когда не было еды), и таким образом не только улучшать здоровье, но и передавать любовь Христа и предлагать людям путь вперед из этого буквального "тупика".  

В «пекарне хлеба жизни» день начинается рано. Еще до восхода солнца, в тихой ночи сельской местности Донбасса, царит активность. Смесь была приготовлена (часто поздно вечером накануне, под контролем и наблюдением хозяйки дома), дрожжи работают. Ранняя выпечка начинается задолго до крика петуха. С восходом солнца и вторая выпечка дня: первая стоит на охлаждающем поддоне, готовая пойти в школы и за гуманитарной помощью. На этот раз в прошлом году нам посчастливилось стать партнером пекарни и приобрести вторую печь. (Спасибо всем, кто нам в этом помог). Теперь пекарня работает с обеими печами вместе, на полную мощность и может производить до 1000 буханок в день. 

 В течение всего утра по мере выпечки свежего хлеба его быстро отправляют во все уголки региона,

вместе с церковными командами, которые распределяют гуманитарную помощь, предметы первой необходимости и послание надежды. Иногда идет небольшая команда с музыкантами и ораторами, которые делятся вдохновляющим посланием и движением вперед. Бог обильно благословил это предприятие. Обычные люди, делающие необычные вещи. Это открыло путь для создания многих новых церквей. Это спасательный круг (буквально, духовный, вечный) для многих.

 

 

Хлеб отменный по качеству - никаких добавок!

(Я бы хотел, чтобы пекарня была ближе к тому месту, где я живу).
В выпечку можно добавлять множество натуральных ингредиентов, каждый из которых оказывает сильное влияние на питание и здоровье людей, которые живут в тысячу раз в день. 

ГРЕЙС ФЕРМА

  В свете кризиса / пожаров в течение октября и растущих потребностей стало ясно, что для долгосрочного и устойчивого финансирования восстановления необходим еще один устойчивый источник / вид поддержки. Команда молилась, и Бог поразительно обеспечил. Исключительно благодарны Богу за подаренную ферму, которая станет второй частью этой великой истории.

Видение захватывающее. Изначально мы хотим получить до 2000 голов птицы, а затем другой скот и здоровую продукцию. Это будет иметь огромное значение для устойчивости реконструкции. Он предоставит и профинансирует дальнейшую помощь / помощь центрам для беженцев и перемещенным семьям, основателям церквей и проектам восстановления, особенно церквей, которые в настоящее время сгорели / лежат в руинах.

Мы призываем ваших друзей подумать о рождественском подарке для этого проекта.

Несомненно, в это Рождество есть много законных потребностей, и вы вполне можете разобраться со всем.   Молитесь за команду пекарни.

Живя в семейном доме, молитесь за эту замечательную семью во всем, что они делают для Христа, людей и церквей. Молитесь о обеспечении, защите, здоровье и духовном ободрении, чтобы они напомнили им о великой цели в их исключительных повседневных потребностях. Молитесь за соседей пекарни, которые смотрят, чтобы они тоже пришли ко Христу. Молитесь, чтобы пекарня могла оказывать постоянную поддержку пасторам, которые насаждают церкви в разрухе.

 Молитесь о хлебе насущном. 

Эти автомобили будут работать хорошо, и что Бог предоставит все, что необходимо (топливо, беспроблемные поездки по дорогам, изношенным танками и боеприпасами). Молитесь, чтобы Бог дал нам средства для ремонта автомобилей и, в конечном итоге, купил бы те, которые подходят для этой цели, когда автомобили выходят на пенсию из-за истощения.

 Молитесь за кур и кур (обеспечение) 

 Мы хотим улучшить эту ситуацию как можно раньше, чтобы в следующем году (начиная с весны) дела шли хорошо для хорошей погоды. Молитесь, чтобы у нас была возможность профинансировать эту работу, которая пойдет на подготовку фермы к работе при первой же возможности. Хотели бы вы спонсировать курицу или курицу?

DAY 5: PROJECT BREAD AND EGGS

Hi Friends,

Firstly... Thank you so much for the immense encouragement of your initial response to yesterday. There is a long way to go on the road to rebuilding, but massive encouragement and evidence already that GOD is with us. He is bigger than the challenge, and so as we play our small part He will bring things together and orchestrate a good outcome.

 

HOPE AND PROVISION FOR

 Today I want to share with you the exciting plan to rebuild, and move forwards in Donbass region. There are 3 parts to our Objective, and by God's goodness already things are in motion and progressing quickly on all 3 fronts, but we do need help from our UK network at this very critical juncture.

The 3 Parts...

1) TO GROW SELF SUSTAINING WAYS of funding the rebuilding and growth for the longterm.

2) TO SUPPORT KEY WORKERS in the initial phase of Church growth.

3) TO PRACTICALLY SUPPORT the rebuilding of churches, and a central hub for aid and displaced peoples/ children / families.

 Today we look at no 1 : 

PROJECT BREAD AND EGGS.

Bread of life bakery.

We thank God for the vision he gave (early on in the crisis) to the bakery team. Amidst the bleak poverty of war and devastation, their simple desire was to feed those without food. The vision though had a greater goal - to  fuel children and the next generation, help schools, families and the aged in crisis (when no food was available), and so not only improve health, but communicate the love of Christ and offer people a way forwards out of this literal "dead" end.

• The day starts early at "bread of life bakery". Before the sun rises, in the still night of Donbass countryside, there is a hive of activity.  The mix has been prepared (often late the night before, under the scrutiny and supervision of the lady of the house), the yeast is at work. The early bake starts long before the cock crows. As the sun rises so does the 2nd Bake of the day, the first is on the cooling tray ready to go out to schools and for humanitarian aid. This time last year, we had the privilege of partnering with the bakery to purchase a second oven. (Thank you to all who helped us in this). Now the bakery works with both ovens in combo, at full capacity and is able to produce up to 1000 loaves each day. 

 

• Throughout the morning as fresh bread is made, it is quickly shipped to all corners of the region,
  
  
  along with church teams who administer humanitarian aid, basic supplies and the message of hope. Sometimes a small team will go with musicians and speakers who share a message of encouragement and way forwards. God has abundantly blessed this enterprise. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things. It has opened the gateway for many new churches being started. It is a lifeline (literally, spirtually, eternally) to many. 

• The bread is superb in quality - no additives here ! 

(I wish the bakery was nearer to where I live). 

The bake can be infused with a variety of natural ingredients - all of which have a profound effect on the nutrition and health of 1000's each day.

GRACE FARM

 In light of the crisis/ fires throughout October and the growing needs, it was clear that for longterm and sustained funding of the rebuilding, another sustainable source /kind of support was also needed. The team prayed, and God has provided astoundingly. We are exceptionally grateful to God for the gift of a farm which will become the second part of this great story.

The vision is an exiting one. Initially our desire is for up to 2000 poultry, followed by other livestock and healthy produce. This would make a huge difference to the sustainability of the rebuild. It would provide and fund  further help /aid, to refugee centre and displaced families, church planters and rebuilding projects, especially that of the churches currently burned out/ in rubble.

We are encourageing our friends to consider a Christmas offerring for this project.  No doubt there are many legitamate needs this Christmas and you may well have things sorted. But... if you haven't yet, would you kindly consider this immediate and huge need? The need is  especially urgent, as the hub of  housing and helping so many refugees (displaced peoples), church families, was lost in the fire. If you are unable to give, please pray or share the need / blogs via social media. 

Thank you in advance for anything you can do.

Pray for the bakery team. Based in a family home, pray for this wonderful family in all they are doing for Christ, people and churches. Pray for provision, protection, health and spiritual encouragement, that they will be reminded of the great goal in their exceptional daily demands. Pray for neighbours of the bakery who watch on, that they will also come to Christ. Pray that the bakery will be able to provide continued support for pastors who are church planting in the devastation.

Pray for the daily bread run. That vehicles will work well and that God will provide all that is needed (fuel, trouble free journeys on roads worn out by tanks and munitions), Pray that God would provide us with the means to repair vehicles and ultimately buy ones fit for purpose when vehicles retire through exhaustion.

Pray for Chickens and Hens (the provision of) . We want to progress this situation as early as possible so that things are well in motion for the good weather next year (Spring onwards). Pray that we will be able to fund this work which will go to preparing the farm for usefulness at the earliest opportunity. Would you like to sponsor a chicken or hen?

Pray for a team from the UK to be able to go, encourage and help in the rebuilding of these things during 2021.

Pray that God will bless the giver of the farm in their giving. 

Pray that God will help the team progress the farm (and plans) over the winter months. 

Thank God for his hand in and on, every detail of development in this amazing story.  Thank God for this lifeline He is using to regenerate this region for His Glory.  

 Thank you for your partnership in this, it means the world to us, but even more to those who are the recipients of it. What a privilege to be on this adventure together.

DAY 4: URGENT NEED FOR PRAYER AND HELP

SPECIAL APPEAL.                                                                                

(Project Red)

Hi Friends,

For the last 3 days we have been foucussed on the Southern Ukranian coast, and the work of God's people there. We will return to this soon. ..BUT... our plans have changed somewhat because of the fast developing situation in Eastern Ukraine (Donbass region - Donetsk and Luhansk). We have been prompted by God to make a special Christmas appeal for an extraordinary situation.

 Just over a year ago a few of our team visited the region. 

One person said to us... 

"before you go, prepare yourself ...the place smells of death". 

After several years of war, we discovered an area which purvaded with the daily challanges of food, medicines, bereavement and loss, along with the emotional and psychological damage of the conflict, lost homes and businesses, destroyed families and displaced peoples.  People resorting to homemade substances and alcohol to numb the pain.

  Despite all this however, as we joined in the work of encouraging the church seeking to rebuild communites,  (administer humanitarian aid and offer a road forward), we descovered a place more alive spiritually than any other we have visited.  This is a place where the church is very much alive, and  where we have found some of the most genuine, caring, beautiful human beings on the planet. As we shared aid, fresh bread, and certain hope for a new start in Christ, many, many people came to put their trust in Him. People who had lost everything had a heart to give and share Christ (their significant remaining treasure).

Churches that once were barricaded for conflict, were reopened by new converts filling the building with the sound of joy, singing and their personal stories of how Christ found them through these events. God had answered their cry for help in the visit of our friends with aid. Libraries and community centres became full as people gathered to hear the gospel. 

One incident will remain with me. I was prepared to speak to a handful of people, but during our time there, the congregation grew into it's hundreds (with standing room out of the door only). On the way out, a path was needed to be made through the crowd for us to keep to schedule. Everything was held up (hundreds on the staircase) by the bulk of folk waiting for Christian literature and to talk about spiritual things. The other queue was for much needed bread, humanitarian aid - however this was much easier way out and how we got through. The literature ran out long before the bread.

We visited a number of areas, where hope and certainty was shared amidst chaos and destruction. Today just a few months on, many of these locations are seeing gospel churches springing up. Buildings are being rennovated as centres which honour Christ as the only ultimate offer of hope to humanity.  Yes, GOD IS GOOD ! Roofs and heating have been installed for the winter, equipping houses of worship to remain full over the next season.

But...the autumn has brought increasing challenge on our many friends there in the church network. Add to the existing tragedy... COVID (and a number of our church friends falling seriously ill, dying) and an already grief stricken church burying their loved ones. Add to this the devasting outbreak of fires in the region.

 You can decide yourself how these fires were started. In a sense this discussion has been superceeded and made irrlevant by what needs to be done next. What is not a matter of opinion is the devastation this left .Hundreds of homes destroyed, Churches devastated, places which helped an already impoverished people with much needed aid turned to rubble.

What happened next astounded us. 

Our same friends who had been through so much in a neighbouring area (and already more than worthy of any help that we were giving) , assembled a fresh team to go to help those who had been devastated by the fire.

 

Through these wonderful guys, a huge amount of humanitarian aid has been distributed over the last few days and will continue to feed and clothe as the winter comes. They have gathered tools, wheelbarrows, trucks and buckets, and started cleaning up the rubble to rebuild lives in the name of Jesus Christ

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. 

I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

(John 10:10).

 Over the next few blogs we will share more of the situation (video and photos) in Luhansk and Donetsk, who you can pray for, and how you can help. To whet your appetite you might like to see this video, which gives a sense of the task ahead and the joy these guys have, even when putting in the most serious of shifts.

Please today pray for...

Those who are leading the mission to rebuild.

• Pray that God would give them supernatural strength to keep the aid coming, to minister to the hurting,  to help and nurture the many who are putting their faith in Christ.  
• Pray for believers in this region who have been through so much. Pray for Area pastors and network leaders (who are grieving the loss of loved ones). Pray for increased (supernatural) capacity for extraordinary times to reach out to those who need help, need Christ.
• Pray for the fledgling churches. That they will continue to be beacons of hope in this devastating situation. 

 Because of the escalation of this situation, and the direct request for our help we have recieved from our extraordinary friends, we have elevated this situation to be our focus project for 2021. Our desire is to...

1) Provide the church with much needed emergency aid for Christmas and the winter period (within the next 2 months).

2) Provide the church with support for workers in flegling churches who are reaching out to the devastated.

3) Provide a team from the UK to help with practical rebuilding in 2021. 

• In many ways our practical help will feel symbolic to us, but  materials, our solidarity, encouragement and friendship will be invaluable to those on the ground. Would you, (maybe with a few mates) consider joining us ? The only real obstacle is willingness to go. This is a major plan of logistical coordintaion ...so early indication to help will make the world of a difference.
  

4) Pray that the help we can offer will be suffieciently helpful as to answer the urgent request of our friends, and this extraordinary time of opportunity for the gospel.

ДЕНЬ 4: СРОЧНАЯ ПОТРЕБНОСТЬ В МОЛИТВЕ И ПОМОЩИ.

 СПЕЦИАЛЬНОЕ ОБРАЩЕНИЕ.

Привет, друзья, 

 Последние 3 дня нас обсуждали на южном украинском побережье и работу Божьего народа там. Мы скоро вернемся к этому. ..НО ... наши планы несколько изменились из-за стремительно развивающейся ситуации на востоке Украины (Донбасс - Донецк и Луганск). Бог побудил нас сделать особый рождественский призыв в чрезвычайной ситуации. Чуть больше года назад несколько человек из нашей команды посетили регион. Один человек сказал нам ...

"before you go, prepare yourself ...the place smells of death". 

«перед тем, как уйти, приготовься ... место пахнет смертью».

 После нескольких лет войны мы обнаружили район, в котором ежедневно возникали проблемы, связанные с едой, лекарствами, тяжелыми утратами и потерями, а также эмоциональный и психологический ущерб, нанесенный конфликтом, потерянные дома и предприятия, разрушенные семьи и перемещенные лица. Люди прибегают к самодельным веществам и алкоголю, чтобы заглушить боль.

 Несмотря на все это, однако, когда мы присоединились к работе по поощрению церкви, стремящейся восстановить общины (оказывать гуманитарную помощь и предлагать дорогу вперед), мы обнаружили место, более живое духовно, чем любое другое, которое мы посетили.

 Это место, где очень живая церковь,и где мы нашли некоторых из самых искренних, заботливых и красивых людей на планете. Когда мы делились помощью, свежим хлебом и определенной надеждой на новый старт во Христе, многие, многие люди пришли поверить в Него. У людей, которые потеряли все, было сердце, чтобы отдать и поделиться Христом (их значительное оставшееся сокровище).

Церкви, которые когда-то были забаррикадированы для конфликтов, были вновь открыты новообращенными, наполнившими здание звуками радости, пением и своими личными историями о том, как Христос нашел их через эти события. Бог ответил на их мольбу о помощи во время посещения наших друзей помощью. Библиотеки и общественные центры наполнились людьми, собравшимися послушать Евангелие.

 Один инцидент останется со мной. Я был готов поговорить с горсткой людей, но за время, проведенное там, собрание выросло до сотен (только стоя за дверью). На выходе нужно было проложить путь сквозь толпу, чтобы мы могли придерживаться графика. Все держалось (сотни на лестнице) толпой народа, ожидавшего христианской литературы и разговоров о духовных вещах. Другая очередь была за столь необходимым хлебом, гуманитарной помощью - однако это был намного более легкий выход и то, как мы прошли. Литература кончилась задолго до хлеба.

Мы посетили ряд мест, где делились надеждой и уверенностью среди хаоса и разрушения. Сегодня, всего несколько месяцев спустя, во многих из этих мест появляются евангельские церкви. Здания реконструируются и превращаются в центры, почитающие Христа как единственное окончательное предложение надежды человечеству. Да, БОГ ДОБРЫЙ! Крыши и отопление были установлены на зиму, так что молитвенные дома будут заполнены до следующего сезона. Но ... осень бросила вызов нашим многочисленным друзьям в церковной сети. Добавьте к существующей трагедии ... COVID (и ряд наших церковных друзей серьезно заболели, умирали) и уже убитую горем церковь, хоронящую своих близких. Добавьте к этому разрушительное

Вы сами решаете, как возникли эти пожары. В каком-то смысле это обсуждение было заменено и сделано неактуальным из-за того, что нужно делать дальше. Что не является предметом мнений, так это разрушения, которые они оставили, сотни разрушенных домов, разрушенные церкви, места, которые помогли и без того обедневшим людям, оказав столь необходимую помощь.

То, что произошло потом, поразило нас.
Наши же друзья, которые так много пережили в соседнем районе (и уже более чем достойны любой помощи, которую мы оказывали), собрали свежую команду, чтобы отправиться на помощь тем, кто пострадал от пожара.

Через этих замечательных ребят за последние несколько дней было распределено огромное количество гуманитарной помощи, и они захотят накормить и одеться до наступления зимы. Они собрали инструменты, тачки, грузовики и ведра и начали убирать завалы, чтобы восстановить жизнь во имя Иисуса Христа.

Чтобы подогреть аппетит, вы можете посмотреть это видео, которое дает представление о предстоящей задаче и радости, которую испытывают эти ребята даже при самых серьезных изменениях. 

 

Пожалуйста, сегодня молитесь за ...

Те, кто возглавляют миссию по восстановлению. Молитесь, чтобы Бог дал им сверхъестественную силу, чтобы помогать приходить, помогать больным, помогать и питать многих, кто верит во Христа. Молитесь за верующих в этом регионе, которые через многое прошли. Молитесь за местных пасторов и руководителей сетей (которые скорбят о потере близких). Молитесь о возросшей (сверхъестественной) способности в чрезвычайные времена дотянуться до тех, кто нуждается в помощи, нуждается во Христе. Молитесь за молодые церкви. Что они и впредь будут маяками надежды в этой разрушительной ситуации.

Из-за обострения этой ситуации и прямой просьбы, которую мы получили от наших необыкновенных друзей о нашей помощи, мы сделали эту ситуацию нашим основным проектом на 2021 год. Наше желание состоит в том, чтобы ... 1) Предоставить церкви столь необходимую экстренную помощь на Рождество и зимний период (в течение следующих 2 месяцев). 

 2) Оказывать поддержку церкви тем, кто работает в неорганизованных церквях и обращается к разоренным.  

3) Предоставьте команду из Великобритании для помощи в практическом восстановлении в 2021 году. 

• Во многих отношениях наша практическая помощь будет для нас символической, но материалы, наша солидарность, поддержка и дружба будут неоценимы для тех, кто находится на местах. Не могли бы вы (может быть, с несколькими товарищами) присоединиться к нам? Единственное реальное препятствие - это готовность идти. Это основной план логистической координации ... поэтому раннее указание на помощь изменит мир к лучшему. 

4) Молитесь, чтобы помощь, которую мы можем предложить, была достаточно полезной, чтобы ответить на настоятельную просьбу наших друзей и в это необычайное время возможностей для Евангелия.
