The privilege of seeing God at work in many locations.

Hi Friends,
Dennis and I are just back for a quick cuppa before meeting with leaders and youth tonight to talk about how to reach the next generation for the gospel. Over the last 48 hours we have had the privilege of meeting with believers in different areas (city, town and rural). In all situations the gospel is flourishing and bringing fruiit. We are speaking to full buildings and seeing young faces looking back at us with gospel passion. This is God's doing and so we give him all the praise.
We have had the joy of giving away some good new books to Pastors, to help with the main things of pastoral ministry, to encourage them in the primacy of mission, teaching Christ in the scriptures, expository preaching,  building up gifts in God's people and doing the work of an evangelist, as we keep our church family on mission. I don't think I quite appreciated when I packed these books, what an encouragement to pastors they might be... so a thought occurs whilst I am here....

Maybe someone out there would like to encourage a pastor by buying him a book (I or someone on the team can pack with us next time). I now have a list of things which might be helpful for each pastor... maybe if you are interested you could chat with us about this, or (if really trustung) you could even give the money and our newly instigated "bookfund",  then leave the rest to us and our favourite bookshop. (NB note to self... I will be visiting Keith Jones books very soon, the shopping list is getting bigger each day.)

Pray for a number of pastors we have been visiting in more rural locations (either to encourage 1:1 or to preach and share fellowship with their congregations).
Here is a short video of one place - where our Brother Ruslan is Pastoring a church. his work and vision will be part of our Spring ministry focus.

I don't think Uk pastors and churches quite appreciate how good God has been to us in our country. Many great resources, many great books and sources of good teaching - often our issue is not that we need more information but a little more ispiration to get out with the gospel and share what we know. Here the believers are motivated, praise God ! Pray for them as they "Go" that the disciples made will also be well taught as they in turn pass on the baton of the gospel.
Now I need that cuppa and some Ukranian home made Jam... Youth leaders have energy... and not sure I have it yet :)

Thank you so much for praying with us, at every turn we are hearing of answered prayer and that our involvement has been in God's timing, and the source of God's encuoragement - What an awesome God we have, who Orchestrates all these details (as we play the triangle)

Speak soon,
Blogski
