Last night was a highlight for many of us as we visited the church at Puchiov and shared food, testimonies of God\"s goodness, bilingual prayers and singing, and studied some passages that reminded us of the wideness of God\"s love. There was an acute sense of closeness in Christ, the mystery of different cultures brought together to be all one in Christ Jesus.
This morning was beautiful in a different way. After meditating on the infinite compassion of Christ (his raising of the Widow of Nain\"s Son) and his profound care of our lives, we did concrete. To the outsider that mind sound like a come down of all come downs, but in reality this meant a new stage of development at no 31. The great need of the building was to develop the basement/ lower floor to be a kitchen area and dinning hall. Praise God the team were awesomely industrious at digging out tons of rubble and today the lower layer of scree went in on top of the new pipework. It won\"t be long before an uninhabitable workshop, damp and redundant is finally replaced by the bustling energy of youth enjoying good grub.
This afternoon our final trip asa complete team was to TERNOPIL CITY. A stunning city, which lost most of its architectural heritage in the war, still has splendour, culture and character abounding. The food of this city is delicious and the lake which draws the eye and flow of the city makes this place unique and spacious as a population hub, a peculiarly brilliant mix of relaxation and activity. Time eating and talking with local city pastor and precious brother Volodymyr Kostyshyn is always a highlight for me. Thank you Oksana for time with your precious husband, and his introductory guide to this great city (and the insider help from brother who has gates to the castle) made this a day to remember. God is good, his people shine his goodness brightly in this place.
What a team! There is a sadness as the boarding passes are downloaded, but a certain expectation that this team will resume at the appropriate moment, and that as the 72 scatter we are all on the same mission united by the unlimited compassion of Christ. Thank God for such an orchestration of unity, a loving common bond which has in every way covered every activity and conversation. When life is this good, there is a taste of heaven as we wire together, learn together, laugh together and praise together in his presence.
Photos will be added to this page as we are able to reach wifi which copes :)
Bless you precious friends for all your prayers, they have been answered in ways greater than we can communicate at this point, but we will as we visit churches and update prayer supporters over the next few weeks.
Love in Him,
Blogski
