Hi Friends,
On the way to camp Sunday evening we past the construction
sight of the 3 new family homes the shelter ministry are building. There is
hope for a 4th home if planning can be arranged, but already the
vision of the site can be seen. Also, preparation is already underway for each
home to be full of up to a dozen precious children to be brought up in a loving
and caring home with good food, medical care, spiritual instruction and life
help.
Please pray that these (40-50) children will already have
God’s special hand on their lives, preparing them to be helped in a fruitful
way and ready for fruitful lives lived in the knowledge and love of Christ.
The last three days at camp have had a number of challenges but
we’ve endeavoured to do everything we can to encourage the ministry. Between us
we’ve mostly tiled 4 bathrooms. There is still a little bit of fiddling (fitting
in small or cut tiles) and started the major clean-up ready for grouting the
walls and starting floor tiles. Mo has done an ammazing job of being groundsman, chopping back 4 seasons of growth in 10days of work. The best word to describe the weather is "changeable" - again giving us the privelege of 4 seasons in 1 afternoon Please pray for us; stamina, grace, patience
(when tools, keys, materials are unavailable or not ready) and that we will be able to do as much as
possible – as well as possible before we leave on Friday evening.
Here are some pics of us pretending to work...
Dennis and Ken having a game of pasterboard twister.
Emlyn putting the tiles around the spacers that he glued on the wall.
Mo chopping down the Ukraine version of the forest of Dean... at present count about 20 trees (most considerably bigger than the one in view.) She may need "a little rest" next week.
Thanks to Ken for his ingenious way of finding internet for this to go online. we will give some better pics of the work as we leave, and a full photoblog when we arrive back in the UK. Thank you again for your prayers and love, it boosts us a lot when we are flagging.
Praying for all our church families back home,
love BLOGSKI
